Once again, I have neglected my commitment to blog..... Time goes by so quickly when things change.
But at least I have an excuse! After a few months of worry and job hunting, I am employed (at least for now) and we will see what the future holds for 2014! Either way, I love my new job and am grateful for the experience it has given me already.
Adjusting to full time working life is no easy task. I am slowly finding my rhythm, and with that hopefully I will find the time to do those things that I love and miss.
Thanks for visiting, I am glad to be back!

The August Rush
I am still adjusting to balancing daily life and fitting in time to blog. Its a gradual process that I am trying to commit to, but I think the habit will take a little time to develop.
My radio-silence has been mostly attributed to a feverish rush to build a presentable portfolio for job applications, job hunting, and a huge influx of family coming to stay with us over the last few weeks after a death in the family. After two weeks of madness at home, I escaped for a very last minute vacation to Florida, which was paradise. Things are now slowing down a bit.
So, now I'm back!

Playing Ketchup
Fast forward through the last few months:
As with many of my projects, I tend to start things when I'm inspired and then abandon them as life gets in the way. I have spent such a long time planning and scheming for my beautiful food blog, and of course, I want it to be perfect. Then, life got in the way and everything was put on hold.
So here I am again, and its July.... and I think that I have some catch up to do. Spring flew by as I struggled through my last (and hardest) semester in college. It was only made busier with my two part time jobs and a dog to take care of, so I had little time for much else. Any free moment I did have usually ended up with me passing out from exhaustion (5pm bedtime? That's not weird, right?) It's hard to believe that my college days are now behind me...... the endless projects and hectic days are gone for now, but I'm relishing this new found free time.
Not that anything has really slowed down at all. Immediately after graduation I moved out of my pretty Philadelphia apartment, and a week later I was flying to Europe to stay in Italy for a month with my family. So now I am in a beautiful place surrounded by amazing food, and I think it is high time to share all of my experiences with you.

Welcome!
The day has finally come for my blog to be born.
I grappled with my exact vision for a blog for quite some time. As an avid food lover, I initially thought that I would simply start a food blog. But since I love to write and have a habit of photographing everything, I realized that this would quickly become about much more than what I eat. I also just earned my degree in design and merchandising - so fashion, art, and photography have been another important part of my life that I want to document. Thus, A fork, fabric, and film is born - all of my passions, wrapped in one.
Let's see where time takes me.
